HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WATER?

Start watering within 30 minutes of installations. For the first 10 days, water twice a day for spring and fall installations and up to three times a day for summer installations.

Depending upon your particular irrigation system you may need to water each zone for a minimum of 10 minutes, or until water starts to run off.

Another method is to apply about ¼” to 3/8’ of water per day. For further information ask your irrigation contractor or click on the watering link.

DO YOU INSTALL SOD OR CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO THIS FOR ME?

Yes, we have the finest most, reliable crews available, and can usually install your sod within a few hours of delivery.

HOW LONG WILL THE SOD SURVIVE AFTER IT IS DELIVERED?

Sod is a living perishable item and should be installed as soon as delivered, however as a general rule it will retain it’s freshness for no longer than 12 hours. If you are unable to lay your sod within this time, make sure it is stored in a shady location and laid as soon as possible.

YOUR SOD IS A LIVE PERISHABLE PRODUCT AND MUST BE RE-HYDRATED TO SURVIVE!!!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO INSTALL?

Most yards will not take over a few hours and the installation crew will remove empty pallets, debris and collect payment when the job is completed.

HOW SOON AFTER INSTALLATION SHOULD I MOW? HOW OFTEN?

Your lawn should be mowed at the end of the first week and thereafter about every 7-10 days. Take care to mow with a properly sharpened mower set to cut to about 3’-31/2” length.

DO YOU GUARANTEE YOUR SOD?

Our Guarantee

We guarantee our sod to root to your soil if the above stated conditions are followed. Once our sod roots to your soil our guarantee expires. Our guarantee is limited to the replacement of sod at the farm (customer must pick up or pay for delivery). This guarantee is valid only on sod laid where a functioning irrigation system has been installed. All hand-watered sod has NO guarantee. All sod purchased after October 15^th (end of the growing season) through March 1st carries NO guarantee of any kind.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY NEW SOD TO ROOT?

Due to our unique combination of soil and specially blended fertilizers our sod will generally root within 5-7 days of installation.

HOW SOON CAN I GET MY SOD DELIVERED?

We usually require about 2-3 days lead time for deliveries in the Pikes Peak region. Please click on the link for delivery rates and further information about deliveries.
